Tasting Notes: The wine opens with some smokey reduction that gives way revealing complex aromas forestry/dried herb that combine with a blue and red berry fruit spectrum. The palate continues a similar theme of Pinot complexities with berry compote. The fine tannin in this wine offers an impressive structure that proudly showcases the Toolangi site.

Vinification & Elevage: Wild yeast fermented as 20% whole bunches and 80% as whole berry, on skins for 2 weeks.

Viticultural Notes: Established in 1995, Toolangi Vineyards is in the Yarra Valley adjoining the Toolangi State Forest. This single site vineyard on fine clay loam produces wines with distinctive personalities, each wine showing a strong sense of place.
Low cropped and hand harvested from 18 year old vines of MV6 Pinot Noir clone from the middle section of E Block, rows 27-52a.
